In the design generator, you fill a ready-made template with your own texts and images, then export the result as a file or share it directly. The design generator is the page that opens when you follow the link you were given. You can only change the input fields. Everything else in the design stays the way it was set up.

This takes four steps:

1. Choose a template and its size in the design generator.
2. Fill in the input fields.
3. Export your design.
4. Share your design on a platform, if you want to.

## Choose a template

1. Open the link to the design generator. Depending on the design generator, you may first see one of these pages:

   - The message "This campaign is password protected.": Enter the password and click **Submit**.
   - A sign-in page: Sign in with your Bluepic account. Only members of a certain team can use this design generator.

   > **The password isn't accepted?** If "Incorrect password, please try again." appears, the password is wrong. Ask the person who sent you the link for the current password.

   > **After signing in, you end up on the sign-in page again?** Your account has no access to this design generator. Bluepic then signs you out again. Sign in with a different account, or ask the person who sent you the link to give you access.

   > **The page shows 404: NOT FOUND?** There is no design generator at this address, or it is offline at the moment. Check that you copied the whole link. If that doesn't help, ask the person who sent you the link.

2. Click the template you want to fill in on the overview. In some design generators, the templates sit in a strip along the edge instead, or you flip through them sideways. The template opens with its input fields. If the template comes in several sizes, the **Select format** popup opens first. The arrow at the top left takes you back to the overview later.
3. Click the size you need in the **Select format** popup. The design opens in that size, and the address in your browser now leads straight to it.

> **Note:** Some design generators also list files next to the templates, for example a logo or a PDF. Click a file to view it, then click **Download** to save it.

## Fill in the input fields

1. Fill in the input fields one after the other. Where they are depends on your device:

   - On a computer: the input fields are listed on the left, the design is on the right.
   - On a phone: you see one input field per screen. Tap the arrow pointing right, or swipe sideways, to get to the next input field.

The design shows every change right away.

2. Click **Select image** or the image preview in an image input field, and choose an image from your device. Your image appears in the design. Some input fields let you choose from a set of images instead.
3. Look at the finished design. Check that everything looks the way you want. If the design is a video, play it with the play button.

> **Tip:** Click a highlighted text or image in the design, and the design generator jumps to the matching input field.

## Export your design

1. Click **Export** at the top right. Bluepic now creates the file. For a video, the button shows the progress. Then the **Select how to share** popup opens with the options this design generator offers. If there is only one option, for example only the download, it starts right away without a popup.

   > **Your design shows BLUEPIC all over it?** That is a watermark. It appears when the account behind this design generator has run out of credits, and it is part of the exported file too. Only the person who sent you the link can change that. The label **Design Template** / **shared with Bluepic** at the top of the page is not a watermark and doesn't appear in your file.

2. Click the option you want:

   - **Download**: saves the file on your device. On an iPhone or iPad, your device's share menu opens instead. There you can save the file or share it directly.
   - **LinkedIn**: posts your design directly on LinkedIn. Sign in to LinkedIn if you are asked to. In the **Post to LinkedIn** popup, check the image and text, then click **Post**.
   - **Instagram**, **Facebook**, **Mail**, **X** or **WhatsApp**: takes you through two steps, see below. On an iPhone or iPad, your device's share menu opens instead.
   - **Webhook**: sends your design to another system that was set up with the design generator. The message "Successfully sent to webhook!" appears.
   - **Redirect**: takes you and your design to another page.

## Share your design on a platform

If you chose Instagram, Facebook, Mail, X or WhatsApp, the design generator takes you through two steps. For Mail, the second step is called **Publish on E-Mail**.

1. Click **Download** under **Download asset**. The file is now saved on your device.
2. Edit the text for your post under **Publish on …**, if you want to.
3. Click **Copy caption**. The text is now copied.
4. Click **Open …**, for example **Open Instagram**. The platform opens in a new tab, or your email program for Mail.
5. Upload the file there and paste the text. Check that your post looks the way you want before you publish it.
