Under **Assets** in the navigation at the top is the asset library: images, fonts and documents that you upload once and then reuse in templates and campaigns.

Clicking **Assets** opens a menu with **Images**, **Documents**, **Fonts** and **Domains**. The first three belong to the asset library.

## Images

**Images** opens the Image Cloud page with all images of your account or team. **Upload** at the top right adds new images.

When you hover over an image, you find these actions:

- **Delete**: deletes the image.
- **Download**: saves the image to your computer.
- **Copy URL**: copies the image's address.
- **URL alias**: gives the image a name you use in a render URL instead of pasting its full address. [Automate: create images by URL and API](https://bluepic.io/help/data-and-automation/automation-campaigns) has more.

You add images to a design in the template editor. To do so, click the image tool in the toolbar. The **Image Library** popup opens. The **Image Cloud** tab shows the same images as this page, and **Upload** adds new ones there too. [Design elements (images, text, shapes)](https://bluepic.io/help/design-elements-and-tools/design-elements) shows how.

Images that end users upload into an image input field in the design generator are not added to your asset library.

## Fonts

**Fonts** opens the Font Cloud page with all uploaded fonts. **Upload** adds a new one. TTF, OTF, WOFF and WOFF2 are allowed. Bluepic asks you for a name for the font. You can rename any font later with **Rename** or delete it with **Delete**.

You can also upload fonts directly in the template editor: in the font picker of a text, with **Upload custom font**. Google Fonts are available there without uploading. [Upload a font: use your own fonts in templates](https://bluepic.io/help/design-elements-and-tools/importing-fonts) shows how.

Only upload fonts you are allowed to use in your designs.

## Documents

**Documents** opens the Documents page. It is for files you hand out, such as brochures or brand guidelines. Allowed are, among others, PDF, Office and OpenDocument files, ZIP archives, video and audio files. You can download any document with **Download** or delete it with **Delete**.

In a web campaign, you offer images and documents from the asset library for download next to your templates. [Set up a brand portal: offer files for download in a campaign](https://bluepic.io/help/campaigns/brand-portal-assets) shows how.

## What applies to all assets

- **One shared limit:** images, fonts and documents count together toward the **Stored assets** limit. It counts files, not storage space: every file takes one slot. How many you have depends on your plan, see [How templates and assets count towards your limits](https://bluepic.io/help/account-management/template-limits).
- **Once the limit is reached,** the **Upload** button is greyed out. When you hover over it, the hint "You've reached your stored assets limit … Delete some assets, or add more on the billing page." appears. You can upload again as soon as you delete files or add more on the billing page.
- **Where a file is used:** below a file's name, a stack icon with a number shows how many templates use it. When you hover over it, a title like "Used in 2 templates" and the list of templates appear. As long as a template uses a file, you can't delete it. Campaigns are not counted here. If you delete a file that a campaign offers, the campaign's **Assets** step shows, for example, "1 curated asset no longer available".
- **In a team** all assets belong to the team. All team members see the same files, and a profile picture on the file shows who uploaded it. When someone leaves the team, their files stay with the team.
