Checkbox input fields

Last updated October 13, 2026

In the design generator, a checkbox input field lets users switch something in the design on or off, for example whether a logo shows. Its value is true (box ticked) or false (box not ticked). How to create one is in Create a checkbox input field: let users show or hide an element.

What it controls

You connect a checkbox input field to a property that can be on or off:

  • Visibility: whether an element shows. This is the most common case.
  • Wrap: whether a text breaks into the next line by itself. More in Text properties.
  • Enforce Uppercase: whether a text is in capital letters.

Setting

You open the settings in the Input Fields view with the gear on the right of the input field.

  • Label: the text next to the checkbox. Users can also click the label to tick or untick the box. Without a label, the checkbox stands on its own.

Every input field also has the settings Title, Description and Variable name. They are explained in Input field settings.

What users see

In the design generator, the input field's heading is at the top. New checkbox input fields are called Toggle. Users understand a heading that says what it is about more easily, for example "Show logo".

Below it is a square checkbox, with the label next to it. At first it shows the default value: the value the property had when you connected it. A click ticks or unticks the box.
