In the design generator, through the API and in the Batch Editor, every finished file costs credits. Opening a design generator, filling in input fields and looking at the preview cost nothing.

A video costs the same no matter how long or how large it is. All exports draw on the same credits.
When an export is free
- The same design again: If the same design is exported again from the same campaign, it counts only once per period. The same design means the same template, the same canvas and the same entries in the input fields. Templates without input fields are the exception: every export of them costs credits.
- Team campaigns: Exports from a team campaign are free when team members are signed in or someone enters the campaign password. On a public campaign, an export costs credits even when you are signed in.
- API results from the cache: If you request an image through the API that already exists, it is not charged again.
- Exports with a watermark are free (see below).
Check your usage
- Click your profile picture at the top right. The Credit Usage card shows how many credits you have used and how many your plan includes.
- Look at the Usage area under Settings > Team when you are in a team. Every team member can see it.
- Look under Settings > Billing if you have no team or are an owner or admin. From 80% on, the page shows the hint "Approaching your allowance".
When credits start again
Credits are not a balance. Bluepic counts how many credits you use in a period and compares that with your plan:
- Free: 200 credits per year. The period starts again every year on the day you signed up.
- Pro: 1,000 credits per year plus any you add. The period starts again with every renewal.
- Enterprise: as many as your contract sets.
Unused credits expire at the end of the period.
When credits run out
When your usage goes over the credits of your plan, the owner and the admins get one notification in Studio and one email. Without a team, you get them yourself. Both name the date from which the watermark starts.
On Free and Pro, everything then keeps working normally for three days. Exports keep costing credits during that time. Once the three days are over:
- Exports get a watermark and no longer cost credits.
- On Pro, the Batch Editor stops creating files. Free has no Batch Editor.
- Exports from team campaigns (see above) stay free and without a watermark.
There is no invoice for the extra usage. To get normal exports back:
- Pro: An admin adds credits under Billing. As soon as usage is within the plan again, exports are normal right away.
- Free: Upgrade to Pro, or wait for the next period to start.
- Enterprise: Exports never get a watermark. Extra usage is settled with your account manager.
