Set up a brand portal: offer files for download in a campaign

Last updated October 22, 2026

In the Assets step of a web campaign, you offer files for download next to your templates, for example brochures or brand guidelines. Users see the files next to the templates in the design generator, open them and download them. They can't edit the files like a template.

This takes three steps:

  1. Select the files in the Assets step.
  2. Sort the files into categories under Generator Theme.
  3. Test the files in the design generator.

Select the files

  1. Click Campaigns in the Studio navigation. The overview of your campaigns opens.
  2. Click your web campaign. It opens at the Templates step.
  3. Click the Assets step at the top. You see your images under Images and your documents under Documents.
    The Assets step is missing?

Only web campaigns have the Assets step. Widget and team campaigns can't offer files. Create a web campaign for a brand portal.

  4. Select the files users should get:
    • For a file that is already in Bluepic: Tick its card.
    • For a new file: Click Upload and pick the file. Bluepic uploads it and ticks it automatically.

The files now belong to the campaign.
    Upload can't be clicked?

You have reached the Stored assets limit of your plan. Every file counts toward it. Delete files you no longer need, or extend your plan under Billing.

  5. Enter a title of your own on the card of a selected file, if you want one. If you leave the field empty, users see the file name.
  6. Enter a short note on what the file is for in the When should this be used? field below. Users see the note on the file's card. The title and note only apply to this campaign.
The step shows curated assets no longer available?

A file was deleted, or it belongs to a team member who left your team. Click × (Remove from portal) next to its name. The file is then removed from the campaign.

Assets step, Documents tab: a selected PDF with its own title and a short description.

Sort the files into categories

Without categories, the files come after the templates. With categories, users find them in groups, for example "Brochures". You add categories in the Generator Theme step, and only with the Template Selection via Gallery layout.

  1. Click the Generator Theme step at the top. A preview with your templates and files is on the right.
Design generator preview: the PDF appears as its own card next to the templates.
  2. Check that the Template Selection via Gallery card is selected under Layout. Only then does the Categories section appear below.
  3. Tick Sort by categories under Categories. The list of your categories appears.
  4. Click New category. A new, empty category appears.
  5. Enter the name users should see under Category name.
  6. Click Add. A list of all templates and files of the campaign opens.
    Add can't be clicked?

The category has no name yet. Enter a name under Category name first.

  7. Select the files that belong in the category. They are now in the category.

Test the files in the design generator

The design generator is the page where users fill in your templates. The files sit there next to the templates, in the gallery or the slider.

  1. Click the Share step at the top. Your campaign's link is under Sharing URL.
  2. Click Copy URL and open the link in a new browser tab. The design generator opens.
  3. Click the card of a file. The file opens in a viewer. Check that it shows correctly.
  4. Click the download icon on the card, an arrow pointing down. The file downloads. Check that it is complete.

The Analytics step shows how often users view and download your files, under Asset views and Asset downloads.
